Regional Partners Workshop
As a follow up measure to the Annual Project Partners' Workshop held from 20-22 November 2009 at MMS,the regional parters workshop held in Goa from 7th-8th July 2010.
Summary of the first day event:
Mr. Meru welcomed all the partners and explained above the key topics for the the two day program events. The first day spent more on the socio-economic development instruments and approaches for the TdH-NL target beneficiaries. Mrs. Anne Priya, Operation Manager- NELINDCO Foundation presented the glimpse of the reach details under NELINDCO Foundation and expressed her gratitude for all the project partners to achieve the desireable development in socio-economic sector through NELINDCO Foundation. She also talked about the importance of micro-insurance services and the efforts taken by NELINDCO Foundation in this aspect.
NELINDCO Foundation released a small documentary film by name, " We are administrators too" in colloboration with WORD. The short film narrates how the loan support through NELINDCO Foundation helps the successful transformation of improved quality of lives.
Summary of the second day event:
The second day was spent to learn the key topics of child protection and prevention of child abuse. The Director of Jan Ugathi Trust, a project partner of TdH-NL shared their successful experiences and appraoches of child protection and child abuse issues in Goa. Ms. Albertina, a lawyer shared the legal provisions of child abuse issues and the successful case filings in this issue.
Mr. Meru explained about the vocationalisation of education, mainstreaming disability program, alliance and its role in development sectors to the partners. Mr. Thangaperumal, Project Officer explained in detail about the Capacity Assement Tool (CAT) for partners.
